Never Wait Until Too Late
One of the largest mistakes that computer users make is that they wait entirely too long to realize that there is a serious problem with their computer. Perhaps when you get a few pop-up windows, it seems harmless enough. The reality is that a pop-up window is usually the start of major trouble. This usually signifies that malicious code has gained entry somehow into your computer and the pop-up windows are the first sign of trouble.
The problem that comes from waiting too long is that is the security threat(s) were able to penetrate enough to do major damage than the cost of repair becomes inflated because you may have to suffer a full system restore to kill the process completely. On the other side of that coin is that if you contact help at the first suspicious sign, then your chances of a quick and inexpensive repair are better and in many cases, it can be done by way of Remote Assistance, thereby making the repair that much less.
So remember, never wait until it's too late.
